Juris Kupris
is currently a Personal Trainer
in New York City. He also actively
manages his Personal Training
business, Juris Kupris Fitness,
LLC.
Juris has successfully trained
hundreds of clients and currently
trains 45 clients on a regular
basis. His clientele is diverse
and unique, each with different
skill levels, physical attributes,
and goals. He personally customizes
his training approach to suit
each individual - there is
no set, routine workout. Even
though each work out is individually
developed, Juris believes
that there are certain similarities,
and therefore techniques,
that are optimal whether training
a pregnant woman in her last
trimester or an elite athlete
looking to better a triathlon
time.

Juris' athletic fascination
began when he was very young.
He was a successful go-kart
racer, where he was a five time
regional track champion. He
won over 80 races in a period
of 7 years, as well as, winning
8 national races. He retired
his go-kart racing career undefeated
in his final season, winning
all 16 races in addition to
winning the award for best sportsmanship.
His racing career, however,
didn't end there. After mastering
go-kart racing, Juris moved
on to compete in two of NASCAR's
premier divisions (Pro Four
Stock and Pro Four Modified).
Juris went on to become the
youngest person to win at three
different NASCAR sanctioned
tracks. He won six races and
was also voted Favorite Driver
of Pro Four Modified by his
peers. The physical and mental
demands of car racing inspired
Juris to find new ways to optimize
his performance through physical
training and mental conditioning.
|
Through 'trial and error', Juris
realized that he was able to
dramatically improve his driving
times by simply combining weight-lifting,
pure cardio, and core stabilization
exercises during workouts. This
combination also had a dramatic
effect on his overall endurance.
After applying this very simple
body conditioning, Juris was
able to push himself to compete
in and complete a grueling 500
mile race. That was the 'dawning'
of Juris' training career. After
witnessing the results of his
'experimentation', he became
passionate about bettering his
own overall fitness. It was
at this point that he went on
to obtain his certification
in physical training.
|
Soon, Juris hung up his Stock
Car helmet in order to learn
more about optimizing strength
and endurance. Juris started
cycling in order to maintain
his own mental and physical
conditioning. It was during
this period that Juris started
formally training other individuals,
while simultaneously start competing
himself. He combined his knowledge
of racing, cycling, and workouts
to taking his training to the
next level. This time he started
competing in triathlons and,
ultimately, Ironman triathlons.
Juris has his own philosophy.
He believes that by concurrently
applying cardio along with
weight-lifting and core stabilizing
exercises, one can dramatically
affect endurance. By motivating
his clients to follow this
complete regiment during the
same workout, not only did
it maximize the benefits of
each component, but it also
enabled him to monitor his
clients' overall progress.
And also monitor their mental
toughness. And it yielded
tremendous results. He started
to see an amazing transformation
across all levels of his clientele.

Juris has spent a lifetime of critiquing his own methods
of training. He believes that
physical ability is a shadow
of mental ability. If you will
a victory on, you can achieve
victory. Juris believes that
through a very focused and committed
program, a metamorphosis of
your physique and self esteem
is very achievable. |
